We use a lot of poetry in our pieces — it brings a sense of connection, the awareness that you are not alone: someone has lived through the very thing you are living through. Sometimes these are my friends' words taken out of context… sometimes inscriptions from the walls of the cities I wander, sometimes lines from songs, poems, books. When for a second you stop breathing and feel this is exactly what you needed to hear right now. Something that lifts you up — or finally opens all the taps. Words heal, words wound. A powerful instrument — and at the same time words are so fragile on porcelain. That is why we choose the words for our tumblers with such care.
